Hey Peeps,

Just a quick update before I put my head down into my book again. This week is NYC Teen Author Festival. It’s chock full of awesome YA events. Below is a list of stuff I’m doing this week and below that is the link to the whole shebang. Hope you can make one or two of all of them!

Wednesday, 3/17 – NYPL, South Court, 42nd Street, (the big one with the lions) 6pm
The Treasure Map to Going Bovine with Will Grayson. Speakers – Libba Bray, John Green, David Levithan, E. Lockhart

Readers’ Theatre of Going Bovine, The Treasure Map of Boys, and Will Grayson, Will Grayson featuring David, Emily, John, and me. Plus, as an added bonus, we will be reading short bits from our works in progress, in my case: BEAUTY QUEENS!

Thursday Evening, 3/18 – Books of Wonder, 18 W 18th St, 6-8pm
Sourcebooks Fire Launch Party with authors Lisa Brown, Anne Eliot Crompton, Helen Ellis, Adele Griffin
and the rocking tunes of TIGER BEAT!

Hasn’t it been too long since you rocked out to the greatest (okay, the only) YA Author rock band, Tiger Beat (Dan Ehrenhaft, Natalie Standiford, Barnabas Miller & Libba Bray)? Then grab your iPhone with the Zippo lighter app and head on down to NYC’s fabulous indie bookstore, Books of Wonder to get your Cure/Zeppelin/Velvet Underground groove on. Sing along encouraged.

Saturday, 3/20 – NYPL, Bartos Forum, 42nd Street, 1pm
Stuff for the Teen Age Event – Come check out Stuff for the Teen Age, The New York Public Library’s list of the hottest books, movies, music, and video games from 2009. Talk with your favorite authors. Rock out to your favorite songs. Have fun. Hear a very special presentation from keynote speaker, Libba Bray, the author of Going Bovine.

Okay, I didn’t write that–the NYPL did. But I concur. My presentation will be very special. Um, what am I doing again? This is always a fun event. Come on down!

Sunday afternoon, 3/21 – Books of Wonder Signing – 18 W 18th St, 2-6
Author Signings. NOTE: Because of the number of authors, signings will be in shifts.
For author signing times see the NYC Teen Author Festival Facebook Page.

I’ll be signing from 2-2:45-ish. I hope to see you there.

Alrighty. There are TONS of other fabulous events, though. Please check them out at the link I’ve provided. Providing links–just one more service I give. Because I’m a giver like that.

Gack! Okay. Back to writing. Douglas Adams tells me "Don’t panic." But Douglas Adams is dead, so, you know, his panicking days are over.
